The launch of the new Crane Pro-Tee compact valve to the heating and ventilating trade in February has prompted no fewer than 800 people to contact Crane requesting more information.
According to Crane sales and marketing director Andrew Sunaway, the majority of enquiries have come from H&V contractors, "It's the obvious financial advantage of much faster and simpler installation that appeals to contractors. Distributors are also keen to stock the Pro-Tee as it replaces three or four separate components" said Andrew Sunaway.
The Pro-Tee is designed to combine the fittings and valve that would traditionally have been used at T branch connections, in one compact component. It comprises a union and isolating ball valve within a galvanised body. A combi adapter is fitted in the union tail to allow connection to either copper or steel.
Part of the launch publicity to contractors, consultants and distributors is a free-to-enter cash prize draw with a first prize of œ500, winners will be announced in June.
