Crane Fluid Systems provided initial technical and product guidance to M&E consultancy A Plus Consulting, following an enquiry on a multi-floor refurbishment at Almack House, King Street, London.
The Dominator Eco was selected due to its compact size, flow control accuracy and ease of installation due to restricted ceiling voids. The valve was accompanied by the Crane ACTMDBUS Modbus actuator, allowing for remote flow setting, commissioning and diagnostic reporting, allowing for a significantly shorter commissioning period.
Crane FS worked closely with all tendering MEP contractors with Mectric Solutions being awarded the contract. Orders were placed through Wolseley and all valves and actuators were shipped within 10 working days from our manufacturing facility in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Dominator sets and actuators were sent to Ability Projects to be pre-configured on to the Fan Coil Units (FCUs) to save time on the on-site installation.
Once installed, the actuators were integrated into the BMS system by 3mse, using a Modbus register and values bespoke for this project, allowing for a seamless integration. Commissioning of the system was completed successfully, and Crane FS have subsequently worked with the MEP contractors on the other floors (Celsius Solutions & Conditioned Environment) to deliver the same solution.
