Completion of the HVAC system in one of the UK’s newest hospitals, Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, is due for July 2010. It will be capable of carrying out up to 20,000 treatments a year. It will comprise 361 beds, 5 theatres, a 100-bed emergency assessment facility, a new A&E department, a pharmacy suite, a maternity & neonatal care unit and a rooftop helipad for the Essex Air Ambulance service.
Crane Fluid Systems valves are being installed to control flow in the heating and cooling water systems throughout the hospital. Their adaptability to modular construction and installation enables commissioning and maintenance work to be carried out with minimum disruption.
