Crane FS have supplied valves for the extensive redevelopment of 160 Aldersgate Street, a 1980s office block, which will provide high-quality office space for the City market. The refurbishment, designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, will deliver an uplift on the existing area through the addition of an extra storey and will achieve an ‘excellent’ rating from BREEAM 2014.
The project which is due to finish in August 2017, involved replacement of the existing Aldersgate façade to give the building a new identity; a dramatic reconfiguration of the building’s atrium along with reconfiguring the floor space to optimise the use of the basement and ground floor areas to free-up roof space for terraces. Crane FS valves were supplied throughout the redevelopment by contractor Designer Group.
