Our genius is valves ®

The entire heating and chilled water systems for an extension of the new NHS trust hospital at Queens Park, Blackburn, will be controlled by valves from Crane Fluid Systems.

Over £180,000 worth of Crane valves for heating and chilled water applications have been supplied to contractors Haden Young. Sizes of isolation and balancing valves range from 15mm to 250mm. Crane have also supplied all valves for the Plant Room off-site prefabrication operation being carried out by Ormandy Ltd of Halifax.

Crane sales director Rafe Bateson commented, "It is very gratifying to win business such as this which reflects the efforts made by the sales team over many months. It is also good to realise the confidence that consultants and contractors have in the ever-improving Crane range".

The £125m project is one of the largest ever Private Finance Initiative schemes. It will replace outdates facilities in the Victorian building of Blackburn Royal Infirmary and will provide 668 beds and 14 operating theatres.
