Supplying Peak Pro Dominators to London’s oldest hospital

Crane Fluid Systems is supplying 300 Peak Pro Dominators to London’s oldest hospital, St Bartholomew’s in the City of London, which is undergoing an extensive modernization of the existing pathology unit and residential staff quarters, to provide a new private hospital for Nuffield Health.

The main contractor is Kier, and Crane FS is working in close partnership with Integral a UK M&E specialist service provider supplying 40mm Dominators for direct connection to fan coil units (FCUs) and 80mm Z9601PF Dominator’s for other terminal units, including chilled beams.These units come complete with integrated PICV and actuator, strainer, flow measurement device and flushing drains. All the valves are pressure tested in accordance with BS EN 12266-1 as well as having a flow limitation test meeting BSRIA standards as per BTS 01.

The final fully assembled manifolds are manufactured in the UK and each one is individually factory tested to ensure the unit meets specification and ensures reduced installation times on site. The 40mm Dominators are being assembled into FCUs by Quartz, with Crane FS working closely alongside Integral to ensure that the proposed units meet the requirements from the designer and provide the greatest energy efficiency and shortest commissioning times possible.

The new £60M facility is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2021 and will have 48 bedrooms, 4 state of the art operating theatres and 28 consultation rooms and will specialize in cardiology, cardiac surgery, oncology, and orthopaedics. The building will also provide physiotherapy and diagnostics, as well as in patient and out-patient services.
